Piledriver explains last night show cancelation
Canuck metal legends PILEDRIVER were scheduled to perform last night (June 14th) at Reggie's Music Club in Chicago, IL, but were turned around at US/Canadian the border. Bassist Lobo Elf Snort explains the tale:
"It seems the Department of Homeland Security has had its way with The Exalted Piledriver, and has reemed us a new one. Merrily on our way, The Exalted Pile-Van was pulled over at the border for a not-so-random inspection.
'Zee papers! Vee needs to see zee papers!! You cannot proceed vithout zee papers!' barked the oberlieutenant.
This led to seven hours of slow torture in dank holding cells with bright lights shone in our faces and FALLOUT BOY blaring in our ears. The Horror, he horror. Once the foreplay was out of the way the real fun began. The herd of lawyers descended on us and made us aware of the true consequences of our nefarious deeds. Thoroughly chastised, The Exalted Pile-band left the Land of the Fee and the Home of the Saved and returned to the sanity of Good Ole Canuckistan, vowing to return 'Vith Zee Papers!!'"
Piledriver recently completed the tracking of their new CD, Metal Manifesto. The band will enter Metalworks studio in late June and will be mixed by Neil Kernon (QUEENSRŸCHE, NEVERMORE, CANNIBAL CORPSE). Expect a fall release on Northern Storm Records.
Upcoming Piledriver live dates include:
July
11 - The Kathedral - Toronto, ON
19 - Club Saphir - Montreal, QC
August
1 - Quebec City Metal Fest - Bar Le Velvet Quebec, QC
