REVOLUTION MOTHER CONFIRMS STINT ON VANS WARPED TOUR 08

Pro-skater and hard edge poet Mike Vallely and his band Revolution Mother have confirmed a stint on Vans Warped Tour '08 where Mike will once again be wearing two hats. Vallely, a.k.a Mike V, will not only be bringing his explosive skating to the tour but for second year running Mike's band Revolution Mother will perform their intensely brutal and addictive live set.

In the 1980's Mike V. discovered two components that would comprise his professional career, skateboarding and punk rock music, at near coincidental points. His first proper introduction arrived after attending a Black Flag concert supporting their My War album and about that same time, Vallely also first placed his feet on a skateboard, realizing that he had the inherent skill and reckless drive to push the bounds of the then-fledgling sport to unforeseen heights. Mike Vallely's careers in music and skateboarding haven't been about fleeting moments of fame or winning some specific prize. In fact, it's more akin to the drafting and execution of a battle plan, enacted by a warrior on a mission in perpetuity. All the skate demos, recording studios, television appearances, concert stages, vert ramps, pages of poetry, street courses, and countless miles behind the wheel don't even begin to describe the human spirit embodied within Vallely that not only consistently proceeds and persists, but ultimately prevails.

Showing what a renaissance man Mike V really is, he can now add film actor to his growing resume, recently cast in Columbia Pictures/Happy Madison Production's upcoming feature film Paul Blart: Mall Cop which is now shooting in Boston and Burlington, MA. The film is due out January 2009.

Mike V is also back with his third season of the skateboarding series "DRIVE," airing on FUEL TV starting August 17, at 8:00PM ET/PT. Based on the award-winning documentary film of the same name, "DRIVE" hits the pavement with the professional skateboarder as he travels the world exploring the people, places, and issues defining skateboarding and youth culture today.
