16 Sign To Relapse Records

Relapse Records is proud to announce the signing of Los Angeles, CA 's 16.
16, returning with the original Dropout line-up of Cris Jerue – vocals, Tony Baumeister– bass, Bobby Ferry – guitar, and Jason Corley– drums, are currently working their Relapse debut and follow-up album to 2003's Zoloft Smile (At A Loss Recordings).
16 commented on the signing: "We are more than excited about working with Relapse. Call it ecstatic if you will. Collectively we have been fans of the label since the inception of 16, and in fact, it's one of the only constants that exist between us in that we are always fans of something the label is releasing. Signing to Relapse is a dream come true for the band as a whole. Currently we are halfway through recording our Relapse debut and so far it is shaping up to be the definitive 16 album. We are channeling every ounce of our anger, anti-social conditioning, and songwriting skills we have developed over the years into this album. Upon its completion we will be touring the US and abroad extensively in support of it."
Since forming in the early 90's, 16 has released a number of full-length albums and split releases. 16 has also toured the globe, sharing stages with SLAYER, NEUROSIS, GRIEF, MELVINS, UNSANE, MASTODON, HIS HERO IS GONE, BOTCH, and many more. Audio samples taken from 16's previous works, can be heard now via the band's official MySpace: MySpace.com/16.
