MACABRE Announced As Second Headliner at Obscene Extreme 2008

Chicago-based murder-metallers MACABRE are the second headliner confirmed for the 2008 Obscene Extreme festival, which will take place from July 10th - 12th, in Trutnov, Czech Republic.

Other acts on the bill include: IMPALED NAZARENE, DEAD, PUTRID PILE, FLAGITIOUS IDIOSYNCRASY IN THE DILAPIDATION, ASS TO MOUTH, DRDOOM, SAKATAT, DESECRATION, NAMEK, GONORRHEA PUSSY, PULMONARY FIBROSIS, SPECK, BLOODY PHOENIX, FUCKSAW.

"When we played at Obscene Extreme in 2003 it was one of our favourite shows of all time," says Macabre bassist/vocalist Nefarious. "We are extremely pleased to be a part of the tenth anniversary of this great event, there simply is not another Fest that compares. We intend on making this a very special Macabre show. We are not planning any other European shows when we fly over for the Fest and to make this show special we are going to debut the Macabre Minstrels to Europe. We have never performed an acoustic set in Europe, so we thought what better place than the premier grind Festival."

In related Macabre news, on April 15th, Metal Mind Productions will re-release Macabre's 1993 classic Sinister Slaughter along with their Behind The Wall Of Sleep EP. Both have been re-mastered and the original Sinister Slaughter artwork will be used once again.
