Avenged Sevenfold Filming Long Beach Arena Gig for DVD
Huntington Beach hard-rock heroes AVENGED SEVENFOLD are ready to bring their explosive show to the hometown crowd in Southern California when they play the Long Beach Arena next Thursday, April 10.
And to reward their devoted army of rabid fans, the band has announced that it will record the entire show for a live DVD that Warner Bros. Records will release later this year. The DVD will be directed by Core Entertainment's Rafa Alcantra, who also worked on the band's 2007 road documentary All Excess. The DVD package will also include a CD of seven previously unreleased b-sides that were recorded during the making of the band's current self-produced album Avenged Sevenfold.
"We wanted to scheme up something big for our hometown crowd because we have the best fans in the world," says lead singer M. Shadows. "We'll be bringing it harder than we have for any stop on this tour. We're ready to blow the roof off!"
Footage from the Long Beach Arena show, as well as from previous shows, will be used in the upcoming music video for "Dear God," the second single from the band's current album.
